Pilates Group Matwork Classes

I teach a number of group classes in the City (Blackfriars/St Paul's) and in South West London (Battersea and Fulham).

The City classes are booked direct with me.

Classes in South West London are booked via the relevant teacher or fitness venue.

Information on class times, venues and booking details are listed underneath each area and you'll find a brief description of the class levels towards the end of the page.

City Classes

Even though term has started, we're still taking bookings for both Spring terms. To request a place please email us at thecentredbody@hotmail.co.uk. We'll ask you to fill out an enrolment form and when we've received both the form and payment, your place will be confirmed.

Mixed Ability Friday: 10-11am

Beginners is for clients who are either new to Pilates, or who have a limited knowledge of the method. Ideal as a "refresher" course for people returning to Pilates after a break.

Beginners Plus is for those who have mastered the basic principles of Pilates, who understand alignment and breathing and have good core stability. Attendance at this class is only possible when the relevant number of beginners' courses have been completed.

Intermediate/Advanced is a challenging class, conducted with increased flow. It is suitable for clients who have been studying Pilates for a minimum of 1-2 years or who are experienced in other forms of body movement such as yoga, Gyrotonic, ballet or martial arts.

Flexible Strength Pilates uses small pieces of equipment for added feedback and extra resistance and we do yoga and PNF stretches to open up and lengthen the body. The perfect class for cross-training if you run or cycle, or as an antidote to being hunched over a computer!

Mixed Ability covers beginners to intermediate and focuses more on the classical Pilates technique, whilst challenging you within your own level.
